From a young age, I fell in love with children’s books.

From Winnie the Pooh to The Secret Garden to The Little Prince, they’ve always held a special place in my heart.

Which is of course, why I began them. In writing Happiness Doesn’t Come from Headstands and The Secret to Clara’s Calm, I was able to marry two of my great passions: storytelling and mindfulness.

Happiness Doesn’t Come from Headstands is a modern day story about the search for happiness, and one girl’s discovery that even in the face of failure, peace can be found.

The Secret to Clara’s Calm is a tale about a girl who’s quick to lose her temper, but through the art of meditation she finds her inner calm.

I’m grateful to have both published by Wisdom Publications.

My hope is that these books not only entertain, but also provide children with tools that nurture their growth and positively influence their lives.

We must teach children how to think, not what to think. Our role is not to pass on knowledge, but rather wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge applied.
